Mandatory Furnishing Of PAN, KYC And Nomination Details

FURNISHING OF PAN, KYC DETAILS AND NOMINATION BY HOLDERS OF PHYSICAL SHARES

SEBI vide its circular SEBI/HO/MIRSD/MIRSD_RTAMB/P/CIR/2021/655, dated November 03, 2021 has introduced common and simplified norms for processing investors service request by RTAs and norms for furnishing PAN, KYC details and Nomination.

Shareholders holding shares in physical form are mandatorily required to furnish the following documents / details on priority to RTA of the Company i.e. KFin Technologies Private Limited (KFin):

PAN
Nomination
Contact Details
Bank Account details
Specimen Signature

Investors shall submit Form ISR-1 to KFin for updating PAN and other KYC details.
In case of mismatch in the signature of the holder in the records of KFin, the investor shall furnish original cancelled cheque and bankers attestation of the signature as per Form ISR-2.
Investors shall continue to use Form SH-13 and SH-14 for declaration of nomination and change in nomination respectively. However, in case investor wants to opt-out of nomination, Form ISR-3 shall be filed.
Investors are requested to ensure the above details are updated with KFin by April 1, 2023, since folios for which the above details are not available thereafter shall be frozen.

Freezing of Folios without PAN, KYC details and Nomination:

Folios wherein any one of the said document / details are not available on or after April 01, 2023, shall be frozen and you will not be eligible to lodge grievance or avail service request from the RTA and not eligible for receipt of dividend in physical mode.
After December 31, 2025, the frozen folios shall be referred by RTA/Company to the administering authority under the Benami Transactions (Prohibitions) Act, 1988 and/ or Prevention of Money Laundering Act, 2002.

Important Note Linking of PAN with Aadhaar:

All the physical shareholders are requested to ensure that your PAN linked to Aadhaar by March 31, 2022 or any other date as may be specified by the Central Board of Direct Taxes to avoid freezing of your folio.
